Product description

Couscous is a traditional food product connecting the features of pasta and porridge. It is made from durum wheat, which contains more protein than soft wheat, used in Poland for the production of bread and semolina. It is one of the main ingredients of Oriental and African cuisine. Couscous belongs to the brewed groats, does not require cooking. Just pour it with hot water or broth, to get after few minutes loose and small groats.

It is easy and quick to prepare. More and more often replaces rice and groats in the kitchen. It is served with meat (mostly lamb), fish or vegetables. It is consumed in salads, casseroles, sauces, soups and stews. It is also used as a stuffing for poultry meat.

May be the basis for desserts with addition of sugar, honey, nuts and dried fruit.
